The OddManOut ShowPony

Probably our most recognizable project to date is Jessie’s 2006 WRX Time Attack car. The idea behind this car was, if it doesn’t make it faster around a track, it wasn’t installed. It’s Forged EJ25 makes north of 400WHP/WTQ, through an STi 6-Speed, R180 and DSS 1000hp axles. From there we have 18x10.5 Work D9R’s wrapped in 315/30R18 Nitto NT01’s with Wilwood FSLN 6/4 Pot brakes all stuffed under Forcewerks Flares. Aero is supplied by an APR GTC-500 along with Aeroflow Splitter, Canards and Rear Diffuser. Inside is all business with a Hardluck Fabrications FIA-Spec roll cage, Corbeau Forza Sport Seats, Racequip Harnesses and a Sparco L777 Steering Wheel.

Pikachu

Okay, this may be more recognizable than the Showpony at this point but this ol’ weapon is Jessie’s 2003 WRX Drift Car, Pikachu. It’s been through a lot in the last 5 years but despite being thrown to the scrap pile in 2018, it still lives. It’s current form features an OMO-built 6.2L LS engine (wiring and swap done in house), T56 Transmission, R200 Rear end, custom in-house tubular subframes and control arms, TSSFab Dual Caliper Rear Knuckles, STi Brembos at all 4 corners (6 calipers in total), Feal 441+ Coilovers, Whiteline suspension goodies, ESR CS15 Wheels Wrapped in Maxxis Tires. Inside it has OMP FIA seats, OMP Rally Steering Wheel, Painless Track Rocker, Aeromotive Fuel Cell, Full rollcage and Complete sound system (with JL Sub) because why not!

LS 350Z

When you get sick of the VQ power-plant, there are plenty of swap-options. But, when you want reliable, tire torturing torque, the LS is really the way to go. This 2003 Nissan 350Z Drift Car received an 6.2L LS with a Comp Cam, pushrods and dual valve springs along with a Performance World sheet metal manifold and OMO Custom Stainless Steel True Dual Exhaust. Also fitted with an FDF Mantis Angle Kit and Corbeau seats, this car is a handful. The wiring, swap, parts, alignment and tuning were all completed by yours truly.

1JZ 350Z

When an LS just isn’t for you and you need those turbo noises, the next obvious choice is the Toyota JZ series engine. This 2003 Nissan 350Z Drift Car was a bit different than his buddies (see above). This brave soul performed majority of the work in his garage over the off-season and came to us for the stuff he couldn’t do and for the parts. This car has an unopened 1JZ, Borg Warner S257sxe Turbo, BC Cams/Springs, Haltech Elite 200ECU, OMO Boost piping, coolant pipes, Rad support and is rocking an OddManOut tune and custom alignment. It also features a Hardluck Fabrications FD-Spec Roll Cage, Corbeau Seats, PBM Angle Kit along with the most metal flake you’ve ever seen.

Time Attack STi

Ian came to us a long, long time ago with a Stage 2 STi with 20,000kms and a farm-boy mentality. After seeing the car every few weeks for the better part of a summer (from him adding new mods and needing the tune revised), things got pretty serious. This monster makes 450WHP/400WTQ, has an FIA Spec cage, Plexi windows, gutted doors and as much aero and ducting as possible. Ian runs the Time Attack Series at Gimli Motorsports Park in Manitoba and now has a fleet of cars that he runs out there.

Time Attack EVO X

Another farm-boy here, Tyler came to us with 9,000kms on his EVO and it already had an AMS Longblock, Precision Turbo and was running 30psi of boost. We thought, “What kind of psycho does this to a brand new car?!” Tyler is that kind of psycho. Since that day, we have rebuilt the AMS Block to OMO Specs, tuned it, performed a custom alignment and have supplied countless numbers of consumable track day components. Tyler has run out at Gimli for the past few years (competing with Ian in his STi) and has run out at the GridLife Track Battle events.
